KDE Energy Nederland is part of KDE Energy Europe and is established in Slochteren, province Groningen. The professional dedicated team works on the development of small and large scaled windenergy projects in the whole country. In this challenge, the team has full support of specialists in all legal, technical and financial aspects which occur all throughout the process of the projects.
The Dutch sustainable energy policy in wind
In the workprogramm, which was set up by the government with the name “Schoon & Zuinig” (clean and careful) , the following targets were set :
-
2% of energy saved per year.
-
20% sustainable energy in 2020.
-
30% less greenhouse effects in 2020 (in comparison with 1990).
In order to reach the target of 20% in 2020, we will have to build 6000 MW on land, on-shore, (now 2000) and 6000 on sea, off-shore.
What are the different steps in a windfarm project?
- Siteselection and prefaisability study
- Obtaining an exclusive partnership with the landowners
- Wind measurement campaign
- Obtaining all necessary consents
- Setting up the financing, procurement of windturbines and Project Engineering
- Building
- Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance
- Decommissioning
Some of our projects:
-
“Delfzijl Zuid”: Project of 32 Enercon E70 turbines, with a total of 71.8MW. KDE Energy developed this project in a joint venture with Essent and Siemens.
-
“Eemshaven”: The biggest on-shore wind farm of the Netherlands with a total capacity of 255MW. The far; has several differnet turbines : 21 Vestas V90 turbines and 64 Enercon E82 turbines. KDE Energy developed this project in joint venture with Essent.
-
“Afrikahaven”: Windfarm developed and built by KDE Energy. De formal opening was done on the international Wind day in 2008, in presence of the minister of environment. The farm is situated in the harbour of Amsterdam and has 9 Vestas V90 turbines for a total capacity of 27MW.
